Sizing your System
There are a couple of considerations on determining the right solar system for your needs.
The first is to determine the amount of space you have for the system. Each panel requires approximately 20 square
feet of roof space, so a 20 panel system will take up approximately 400 square feet. The second
consideration is how much electricity you use and how much of your electric bill you would like
to offset with a solar system. The two calculators below will let you figure out what is best for you.
If you have a limited amount of space, you should try and make a guess as to how many square feet of
available roof space you have available, divide by 20 and use that number as the number of panels you
have room for. If space is not an issue, then you can provide your average WAPA bill amount and
the calculator will give you several different size options.
